The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers can be a great option for those who are looking to get rid of mopping off their list of tasks. They have impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other models and makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It is very quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment.  automatic hoover  can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one sweep. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop rotates at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or along baseboards. The front arms can be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys or books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't make the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well, but this is something you'll have to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house, detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also rapid.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach a wide range of surfaces. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that extends to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be dried and washed to prevent build-up and reduce odors.

App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the amount of suction and select between a back-andforth or more randomized pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can even choose to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

It's expensive, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to remember that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads must be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad array of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a 'Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life make it easy to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module that has an elastomer pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to collect a lot of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots have struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to let you know that it was in the process of finishing its work.

The app was too basic and you had to change the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a problem if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it also has distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its app.

Another possible issue is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
